Overview
Dake has been building machine tools in Grand Haven, Michigan since 1887, and the TB-16 is their bench-model drill press — a compact machine with a massive cast head that behaves like something twice its size. At 5/8″ drill capacity and 14-1/8″ of work diameter, it covers the drilling a fabrication shop, maintenance department, or tool room actually does day to day.
The spindle is the reason it drills straight. Large diameter, running on four bearing points, so it resists the deflection that makes a bit wander in tough material. Combined with a machined column and a sturdy cast base, vibration stays down and hole quality stays up.
The locking handle hub is the detail operators notice. Dial in a depth against an easy-to-read scale and it repeats — every hole in a run comes out the same without measuring each one. Nine speeds from 240 to 3,400 RPM cover large-diameter work at the low end and small bits in aluminum at the top, and a quick-release belt tensioner means changing speed takes seconds instead of a wrench.
Both the table and base carry machined T-slots, so vises, angle plates, and fixtures bolt down where the part needs them rather than where a bare surface allows. And the CE safety electrical package is genuinely complete: push-button on/off, emergency stop, low-voltage controls, thermal overload, and an interlock on the belt cover.

Ordering and freight
Ships by LTL freight at 155 lb. Curbside delivery is standard; liftgate and inside delivery are available. Send us your delivery ZIP and dock situation and we will have a freight quote back to you the same day.
Power: 110V single phase — plugs into a standard outlet, no dedicated circuit or phase converter needed.
Bench requirements: at 155 lb with a 17-3/4″ x 12-1/4″ base, mount it to a solid bench and bolt it down through the base T-slots. A drill press this rigid will walk on a light bench under load.
