Overview

The Kalamazoo BG272S is a 2″ x 72″ industrial belt grinder mounted on a heavy-duty steel stand. The open area behind the platen gives you room to work complex shapes, and the 5″ lower contact wheel handles contour grinding, radiusing, and profile work, while the platen takes care of flat grinding, squaring ends, and beveling.

A direct-drive motor runs the belt at 7,200 SFPM for quick stock removal with minimal heat. Spring belt tension, easy tracking, and quick belt changes keep it moving between grits, and it takes the widely available 2″ x 72″ belt. Built in Kalamazoo, Michigan, for fabrication shops, knife makers, foundries, and maintenance crews.
