Overview

The Kalamazoo KS490 is a 4″ x 90″ industrial belt grinder built for fast, cool metal removal. The long belt runs at 7,200 SFPM over an 8″ serrated contact wheel, so it hogs off stock on castings, weldments, and bar without loading up heat in the part. Switch to the 24-1/2″ reversible steel platen for flat work, beveling, and finishing.

The grinder head adjusts from horizontal through vertical and raises to suit your work height. A hinged door on the head, a quick-release tension lever, and easy tracking keep belt changes short, and it runs any standard 4″ x 90″ belt. Built in Kalamazoo, Michigan, for foundries, fabrication shops, and production floors.
