Overview

The Kalamazoo S8D is an 8″ x 60″ vertical dry belt sander built for heavy, everyday metal finishing. A 7.5 HP three-phase motor drives the wide belt through a twin V-belt drive, giving you the power to remove scale, blend welds, deburr cut parts, and prep surfaces before paint, coating, or assembly.

Air-powered belt tension holds the belt steady under load, one-knob tracking keeps it aligned, and the reversible steel platen gives an 8″ x 13″ work area backed by an adjustable 8″ x 12″ cast iron table with a miter slot. The heavy-duty steel stand and frame are built in Kalamazoo, Michigan, for welding shops, fabrication floors, maintenance departments, and production lines.
